What I needed
Perfect addition to my Sennheiser HD6XX headphones. I love the giant smooth volume knob. I ended up mounting it on a custom wood rack close to my left hand, just under the desk. Perfect scenario for it if you don't want it taking up space and gathering dust on your desk. Thanks to the high gain setting, the output is enough to drive these 300 Ohm headphones, especially with a 4.4mm balanced cable. I have never had any disconnection or stability issues on Windows, even when using a long USB cable. The RGB colour on the volume ring giving you an idea of the bitrate/coded being used is very useful. I hope Wootware keeps bringing in more such devices for us audio guys, the pricing on this unit was fantastic.

Brilliant DAC and have struggled to find local stock of it at a good price, glad Wootware started to bring in Fiio products. If you have a proper set of studio cans like my BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro 250ohm this DAC will drive them with ease and kick it up quite a notch, highly recommend.
