Intel Arc B580 Review – Great Value With a Few Trade-Offs
I’ve been genuinely impressed with the Intel Arc B580 so far. Intel has come a long way with the Arc lineup, and this card finally feels like a proper competitor in the mid-range GPU market instead of just an experiment. The biggest highlight is easily the value for money. You get 12GB of VRAM, solid 1080p performance, and surprisingly capable 1440p gaming without spending ridiculous amounts of money. Modern games run really well, especially DX12 and Vulkan titles, and XeSS support gives you extra performance when needed without destroying image quality. What surprised me most was how much the drivers have improved. Early Arc cards had a rough reputation, but the B580 feels far more stable and polished in day-to-day use. Video playback, streaming, and editing are also excellent thanks to Intel’s media engine. It’s not perfect though. Some older DX11 games still don’t perform as consistently as they do on Nvidia or AMD cards, and the GPU really benefits from having Resizable BAR enabled on a newer motherboard platform. If your system is older, you probably won’t get the best out of it. Still, for the price, it’s hard not to recommend. If you mainly play modern games and want strong performance without overspending, the Arc B580 is honestly one of the most interesting GPUs available right now.

5600G combo
Owning 5600G and (now ex Rx580 8 GB) B580 has doubled the performance of the Rx580. Power consumption is good as well, and rebar is enabled. seems to run well so far - despite only being PCI 3 (because of the G) I do miss the sharpening of the AMD cards offered in games. B580 does, however, sharpen video quality Temps during the lovely Western Cape storm weather remained below 52 degrees during playing so far, which is really nice. I also considered the RX9060 16gb which appears to have roughly 35% more performance, but was also 35% more in price. If you have extra cash i would suggest grabbing that as it is newer technology. Otherwise ordered Saturday 11:40 and the order was ready Monday morning before 11 - really happy with Wootware's under promise and over delivery

Bang for buck

B580 does however sharpen video quality (apparently - i havent specifically tested this yet with actual video) Temps during the lovely western cape storm weather remained below 52 degrees during playing so far which is really nice, but it may disappoint if you wanted to boil eggs with it. Amazing card for a bargain price.
For the price it is really value for money, Almost all games work on the highest graphics settings. I have found one game so far that did not really work with this card, giving me some lag even on lowest settings, however we managed to find a fix for the issue and now the game runs like a dream. Zero over heating making everything run smoothly, there is no RGB, so if you are wanting that feature this card is not for you, but that was not an issue for me. Overall an amazing card for the money.

Very solid performance.
Had a Geforce GTX 1650 OC 4GB, upgraded to this and able to play majority of the games and older ones feeling great. Takes getting used to the software setup and making sure the fans spin at the preferred level of usage/utilisation. Temps so far run pretty cool and can handle many of the games I've thrown at it. Very worthwhile in my opinion.

Exceeded all expectations
This card is pure gold for the price. No issues. The new driver made it easy. You will not find a better pcie4 card for this price.

Unknown entity, took some time to get used to
Initial card was a DOA card, it would cause artifacting on the screen, even came up with a message saying it's trying to rebuild itself and if this fails RMA the card. After I did RMA the replacement card has been a lot better, especially with driver support improving things. Running it on a 5700x3D probably helps a little as it's not quite a CPU that falls under the overhead issues others have experienced, also it runs roughly the same as my older 3070ti did in a few games. Power consumption is a bit higher than expected though.

Great Budget Card
After a couple of weeks with the card, the performance is solid for the price point, The temperatures remain at sub 70 within normal gaming scenarios, The build quality of the card itself leaves little to be desired.

Solid thus far
Paired with a Ryzen 5 5500. There are some stutters due to driver overhead, but as soon as I get a new cpu those will be fully gone. Has some display issues in some DirectX games, I believe it's driver level as forcing it to vulkan with DXVK removes all those issues.
