Great machine, works well on Linux
Very good laptop. its lightweight enough to be super portable but heavy enough to actually feel like a computer. The cooling system on this machine is great; dual-fan, and it can support a high cTDP easily. The keyboard is great, though it does attract finger smudges; i dont think it has the coating to prevent that. relatively minor, but you can definitely see the smudges. GREAT screen. It works well with Linux (my choice of distro is Arch), BUT the Ethernet chip is a fairly obscure model. You need the Tuxedo YT6801-DKMS driver for it. Battery life is good but not outstanding, at least on Linux- the best way I could describe it is, if this were a gaming laptop, battery life would be truly excellent. but its not, so it's very, very average. That said, it does last. To use my own experience, I arrive at work at the office at 8 am, boot the laptop up. its usually on about 30% by 2 pm. This is on the "Turbo" ctdp mode in BIOS. On that note, the BIOS is barebones but decent. nothing bad to say about it, but nothing really notably Good otherwise. The touchpad is FANTASTIC. accurate and feels good to use, and large. But, like the keeb, it attracts finger smudges. Port selection is outstanding. The audio is very decent. The build quality is the best you can get for this price; there is no doubt about that. probably better than significantly more expensive laptops too! The metal is premium, and it feels really nice to hold. its not thin like modern ultrabooks, but it's thin enough that you can't tell the difference without putting them side-by-side. Lastly, some quirks I really enjoy: the power button is independent of the keyboard. Many modern laptops have a power button integrated into the keyboard. This one has one physically towards the top above the function row. Secondly, it can charge via PD.- I really recommend getting a decent travel charger, my personal choice being the Ugreen 140W, because, as stated, the battery life only lasts around half a day All in all, despite some quirks, this is a really, really, really good laptop, probably the best you can get for this price!

Great machine, works with Linux (UPDATE)
Really really nice laptop, with an absolutely fantastic screen. It works perfectly with Linux, which I wasn't entirely expecting; no sleep/wake issues or etc. Fast, well-built, very very nice chassis. 5/5 EDIT: the ethernet controller in this device is a fairly obscure model. it does not work OOTB with Linux, but there are drivers readily available due to this chassis being widely used by e.g Tuxedo computers. find the Tuxedo YT6801-DKMS driver, refresh linux headers for ur kernel, and it works perfectly. also, some linux distros, including my choice of Arch, have a driver bug with the Ryzen AI 7 350. this is not at all specific to the wootbook; notably, it occurs widely on Framework machines with the processor. essentially, sometimes hovering the cursor over certain things causes the entire screen to flicker. the solution for GNOME desktop is to disable HW cursors with a Mutter environment variable, and for KDE it's much simpler; just enable "prefer colour accuracy" in display settings. it's a driver bug and not unique to this machine, and its easily fixed. in short; what a fantastic laptop. the keyboard is also really REALLY good.
