Great Laptop
Great laptop, good performance, fans are almost silent in office mode, only weakness is the built in speakers but tend to use headphones with my laptop anyway so this isn't an issue. If you need a good laptop for gaming, software development, or even things like 3D animation or music production, this should meet your needs.

A True Desktop Replacement - RYZEN 9 & RTX5070TI
When I was in the market for a new laptop, I needed a machine that could serve as a no-compromise workstation for my demanding job in finance and, after hours, transform into an elite gaming rig. After extensive research, I landed on the WootBook Core 16 Fire, configured with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. After several weeks of heavy use, I can confidently say this machine is an absolute marvel. From the moment I unboxed it, I was happy with the overall build quality. The chassis feels solid and premium, with minimal flex. The keyboard is tactile and comfortable for long typing sessions, and the large, glass-like touchpad is precise. It feels like a durable machine built to last. More importantly, the software experience has been flawless. I've encountered zero crashes, blue screens, or software issues. It's been rock-solid stable, which is a massive relief for a work-critical device. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by the built-in control center application. It’s refreshingly lightweight and intuitive, giving me easy-to-use controls over performance profiles, fan speeds, and keyboard lighting without any unnecessary bloat. For my work in the finance sector, this laptop’s productivity performance is phenomenal. My configuration with 64GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM, paired with the 16-core Ryzen 9 processor, handles everything I throw at it with ease. Massive Excel models, complex data analysis, multiple virtual machines, and dozens of browser tabs all run simultaneously without a hint of lag. The 16-inch WQXGA (2560x1600) display is also a huge plus, offering crisp text and that extra 16:10 vertical space that makes a real difference in spreadsheets and documents. And then there's the gaming. To put it simply, this laptop is a beast. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM is no joke. I can comfortably play any modern AAA title at the native 2560x1600 resolution on high or even ultra settings and consistently get well over 60 FPS. In many titles, it pushes triple-digit frame rates, making the 300Hz display feel incredibly smooth and responsive. It chews through games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield without breaking a sweat. In conclusion, I am beyond happy with my purchase. The WootBook Core 16 Fire is a perfect hybrid machine. It’s a top-tier productivity powerhouse that has streamlined my workday and an exceptional gaming laptop that delivers an incredible experience. If you’re a professional who also loves to game, I wholeheartedly recommend it!!!

Wootbook Core 16 Fire
The laptop is great. Build quality is really good as well. Been really impressed with performance of the CPU and GPU. Only thing I'm a bit sad about is that I didn't get my free game with the laptop :( , but maybe Wootware can fix that...

Pretty good laptop overall
I like the laptop overall, I mostly use it for work and occasional gaming. I installed Windows 11 from scratch, and a couple of things that are noteworthy is that the wifi drivers are not available a first startup so you have to plug an Ethernet cable in to finish setup (I suppose you can sideload them, but I didn't try that at the time.) Additionally, while installing the drivers provided is relatively straightforward, the wifi/Bluetooth bat files didn't work and I ended up needing to dig into the files and install the wifi/Bluetooth .inf files by hand. Not a big deal if you have Wootware install Windows for you, I suppose, but still an oddity worth pointing out. I'm not too sure how viable BIOS upgrades are given that these seemingly aren't provided by Wootware in the Google Drive folders and how frequent driver updates are issued for these. Anyway, stuff like graphics drivers and chipset drivers are of course available from AMD and Nvidia. Performance is where the laptop stands out, the CPU easily outperforms my older desktop and the GPU is the fastest I've ever had in a laptop. The screen is lovely for productivity and even colour-sensitive work and the keyboard is very tactile and great for both typing, shortcut-heavy tasks and gaming. I don't think you can get another laptop at this price point that has such compelling specs. Also Windows Hello IR compatibility is pretty sweet. I do have one minor gripe that I'm not sure if it's a software or a hardware issue. The laptop seems stable so I think it must be software-related, but every once in a while my screen flashes. I'm pretty sure this is related to switching between iGPU and dGPU... but haven't managed to find a fix that resolves it permanently since it's intermittent. Some specific software like Postman/Spotify/VSCode seem to trigger it, and some days it'll go an entire day without it happening once and then other days it happens every other hour or so... Anyway, it probably is a bit of a risky buy, but overall it's a great piece of kit and at a good price.

Core 16 Fire | Ryzen 9 9955HX | RTX 5070 Ti
I have been using this as a work laptop for about 4 months now as I needed the additional CPU and 64Gb memory. So, 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday ... these are my findings so far: Pros: * The CPU is a beast and can easily handle heavy workloads. Project builds are ~20-45% faster, even while doing a whole lot of other tasks. * The monitor has a solid resolution and refresh rate; everything feels ultra smooth and there is plenty of desktop space to work with. * The 64Gb option allows me to have multiple Docker containers running, my IDE's, browsers, and a whole lot of other stuff and it doesn't have any problems what-so-ever. * The driver and utility support is packaged nicely by Wootware and has easy instructions to follow. Cons: * The USB/Ethernet goes wonky from time to time. (6-10 times in 4 months) I have a mouse, keyboard, wired headset and laptopstand/cooler plugged in ... and the USB connections intermittently drop and I need to plug things out and plug it back it. Likewise, when this happens, the ethernet drops, Windows switches to Wifi and I need to plug the cable out and back in. I was also able to source an independently powered USB hub and plug all of my devices into this hub, and have that hub plug into a single USB port on the machine, same thing happens. The Device manager also does not report that I have any slow running USB devices or that the USB bus is overloaded. * The Camera sometimes get stuck (3-5 times in 4 months) The camera sometime stays on and seems to be in a locked state and not available to other applications. I need to restart the laptop when this happens. * The Windows Hello function froze (1 time in 4 months) This laptop does not come with a fingerpring scanner, so I decided to use the Windows Hello facial recognition function. It works nicely most of the time. I had one instance when I could see the camera light come on and it was looking for my face, but Windows then froze and I had to restart. * Laptop Got Super Hot, fans did not switch on (1 time in 4 months) I left the laptop on and stepped away. I came back an hour or so later and smelt something hot in the room. The laptop was 'on', but the fans were off. I managed to get it to the proper 'off' state. I plugged everything out of all of the ports on the laptop and set the laptop stand's fan to max speed to help cool it down. I was not able to boot the machine for a few minutes. When I was able to boot into windows the CPU temperature was sitting at around 95 degrees with the laptop fans blasting the hot air out. I am still not sure what happened here, but it cooled down quick enough. I now ensure that I shutdown the laptop if I end my workday, or shut the lid to get it to hibernation state. * Laptop was not able to boot (1 time in 4 months) I restarted my laptop, and it did not boot at all. The power LED did not come on, the screen did not come one, the fans did not come on, it was dead. I was able to get around this by plugging out the battery of the laptop, waiting for ~30 seconds, and plugging it back in. The laptop was then able to boot again. * Firmware Updates For non-technical users, updating the laptop drivers and firmware may not be an intuitive process. Notes: Use the Control Center app to go tweak your laptop. There are some good functions there to tweak your laptop to better suite your needs. Windows 11 was not able to do the 24H2 inline upgrade and it had to download the 'repair' image to get the OS in-line. I am not sure if this is related to hardware or the base Windows installation that was loaded onto the laptop. Summary: The issues that I have found so far, even though a bit irritating at times, is outweighed by how this laptop is performs and how much better it is compared to my previous work laptops under almost all metrics. Would I buy this again knowing that I may get the issues listed above and possible more issues in the future: For the price I got it at, yes. Would I recommend this to other people, Yes, but I would inform them of the issues that I have had such that they can also make an informed decision.

Ryzen 9 with 5070ti
Glad I skipped the 4070 that I was planning to purchase. This machine is an absolute performance beast that hits triple digit framerates in most games, even without frame generation. Doom and CyberPunk are being played at Ultra RT level settings, look great and performs great. The fans aren't that loud compared to my previous Lenovo 3060 machine. They CPU is also very impressive although I have not pushed it that hard. Will add more feedback once I've tested out some larger and more complex code projects.
