Excellent QD-OLED

Firstly, it's a QD-OLED, so the common benefits from QD-OLED all apply here: 3rd generation Samsung QD-OLED panel. Pros 1. Deep inky blacks. 2. Near infinite contrast. 3. Blazing fast pixel response times. 4. Deep and rich colors. Better colors than competing OLED types. 5. Amazing experience for HDR. Both games and HDR content. Cons 1. QD-OLED has less brightness than tandem WOLED and all LCD panels. An issue if you use panel in a really bright room. 2. Bright direct lights raise black levels and turn them a purple hue. As for details specific to this panel. It has a glossy coating. Images look really sharp but at the cost of being very reflective. OSD has all the usual OLED care settings and are well explained in manual if you need clarification. So far, the OLED care features have gone completely unnoticed, doing their thing without getting in the way. OSD settings are clear and easy to understand, with additional details in the manual and on the Gigabyte website. Features HDR 400 True black certification which has all the settings for it locked down. Has a few other named HDR modes but these can be customized as you please. Has a HDR Peak 1000 mode, which increases the peak brightness for lower APL scenes. Really great for darker games or contact, makes bright lights pop. This mode I caught myself flinching as the high contrast between a flash of light and the perfect black around it is like a flashbang. Really impressive. Updating firmware to latest version will also allow enabling the new Hypernits feature. Raises overall brightness, which works really well. This applied to Peak 1000 mode is really impressive. Space games really are something to see in this setup. Not sure if this will have an effect on the longevity of the pixels as they are pushed harder to achieve the brightness. If this is a concern, you could stick to the calibrated HDR 400 True Black mode. Also includes black frame insertion, what Gigabyte calls clear motion. Manual or website does a good job explaining its use cases. VRR needs to be disabled to enable clear motion. Also has VRR-Anti flicker, Freesync premium and Gsync compatible. KVM switch, and quite a selection of ports. As for the included stand, it looks good but have not used it as I mount this panel on a monitor arm. Monitor accepts VESA 100x100 monitor brackets, with screws already included. As QD-OLED monitors go, it is about as feature complete as you can get.
